Online Notary: Step-by-Step Guide
- Schedule your session.
- Upload your document (PDF or image file).
- Receive your invitation. You will get an email from our technology platform approved by the Indiana Secretary of State, with an invitation to meet the notary. This invitation will be sent no later than 30 minutes before your scheduled session.
- Sign in approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled session to complete the ID verification. You will need a valid picture ID and the last four digits of your Social Security number for verification.
- Meet with the notary. After successful ID verification, you will meet with the notary online. Please allow camera and microphone access if prompted.
- Pre-tagged certificate. Your notary certificate will be pre-tagged by the notary to make the session easy and fast.
- Pay online. You can easily pay for the service online with a credit card.
- Access your document. Your document will be available 24/7 by logging back into your account.
- Session recording. A recording of the session will be kept on file for 10 years, as required by Indiana Notary Laws.
